This release updates the platform to comply with the 2024 COPPA amendment, strengthening protections for children's data with enhanced parental consent, audit logging, and organizer acknowledgment requirements.

What's New​

The parental consent verification process has been expanded with more detailed disclosures about what data is collected, how it is used, and who can access it. Parents now receive a confirmation email after verifying consent.

Organizer Data Handling Acknowledgment​

Group leaders who access attendee health information are now presented with a one-time acknowledgment reminding them of their data handling obligations under the platform's terms of service.

Improvements​

  • Consent verification emails now include comprehensive disclosures about data types and purposes
  • Automated cleanup of expired consent records to protect unverified data
  • Re-consent notifications are automatically sent when privacy policies are updated
