Subscriptions

The Subscriptions page gives you a centralized view of all your paid group memberships. You can check billing dates, update payment methods, view invoices, and cancel subscriptions -- all from one place.

Access Your Subscriptions

  1. Click your profile icon in the top right corner
  2. Select Account Settings
  3. Click Subscriptions in the sidebar

You will see a summary of your active paid memberships along with your estimated monthly total.

Free Memberships

Only paid group memberships appear on this page. If you belong to groups that do not charge a membership fee, they will not be listed here.

Understanding the Subscriptions Page

Filter Tabs

At the top of the page, three filter tabs let you view subscriptions by status:

  • Active -- Subscriptions that are currently billing on schedule
  • Pending -- Subscriptions you have canceled but that remain active until the end of the current billing period
  • Canceled -- Subscriptions that have fully ended

Each tab shows a count of how many subscriptions fall into that category.

Monthly Total

When you have active subscriptions, the page displays your estimated monthly total. Annual subscriptions are divided by 12 to give you a comparable monthly figure.

Subscription Cards

Each subscription is displayed as an expandable card showing:

  • Group name and image
  • Status badge -- Active, Canceling, Grace Period, Expired, or Canceled
  • Your role in the group (if you are a co-leader or event manager)
  • Price and billing cycle -- monthly or annual amount
  • Next billing date -- when your next payment is due

Click on a subscription card to expand it and see additional details.

View Subscription Details

Click any subscription card to expand it and view:

Payment Method

The card on file for this subscription, showing the card brand and last four digits along with the expiration date. If no payment method is linked, you will see a prompt to add one.

Billing Information

  • Next payment date and amount for active subscriptions
  • End date for canceled subscriptions
  • Member since date showing when you originally joined the group

Latest Invoice

If available, a link to view your most recent invoice. This opens the Stripe-hosted invoice page in a new tab where you can download a PDF receipt.

Update Your Payment Method

If you need to change the card used for a specific group subscription:

  1. Go to Account Settings > Subscriptions
  2. Click the subscription card to expand it
  3. Click Update Payment
  4. Enter your new card details in the secure payment form
  5. Confirm the update
Per-Subscription Payment Methods

Each group subscription can have its own payment method. Updating the card on one subscription does not affect your other subscriptions.

Cancel a Subscription

If you no longer want to pay for a group membership, you can cancel the subscription:

  1. Go to Account Settings > Subscriptions
  2. Click the subscription card to expand it
  3. Click Cancel Subscription
  4. Review the cancellation details in the confirmation dialog
  5. Confirm the cancellation

What Happens After Cancellation

  • Your subscription moves to the Pending tab with a "Canceling" status
  • You continue to have full access to the group until the end of your current billing period
  • A banner on the subscription card shows the exact date your access will end
  • Once the billing period ends, the subscription moves to the Canceled tab
  • You will no longer be charged
No Partial Refunds

Canceling a subscription does not issue a refund for the remaining time in your current billing period. You retain access until that period ends.

Subscription Statuses

StatusMeaning
ActiveYour subscription is current and billing normally
CancelingYou have canceled, but access continues until the billing period ends
Grace PeriodA payment failed, but you still have temporary access while we retry
TrialYou are in a free trial period before billing begins
ExpiredYour subscription has ended after a grace period lapsed
CanceledYour subscription has fully ended

Common Questions

Why don't I see a subscription for a group I belong to?

Only groups that charge a membership fee appear on this page. Free groups and groups where you are the owner are not listed.

Can I reactivate a canceled subscription?

If your subscription is in the Pending (canceling) state, contact the group leader to discuss options. Once a subscription is fully canceled, you would need to rejoin the group and set up a new membership.

What happens if my payment fails?

If a payment fails, your subscription enters a Grace Period. Stripe will automatically retry the charge. You can update your payment method during this time to avoid losing access.

Where can I find past invoices?

Expand any subscription card and click View Invoice to access your latest Stripe invoice. From the Stripe invoice page, you can view your payment history.
